These tires were manufactured with a rubber chemical mixture that does not meet Toyo's proper tire specifications. Due to the defective rubber chemical mixture, the tire tread may detach, which could cause the driver to lose control of their vehicle, possibly causing an accident.

The recall is scheduled to go into effect on or before February 18, 2011. Toyo will notify owners of the recall and replace the tires free of charge, including the mounting and balancing fees. For more information regarding the recall, owners can contact Toyo toll-free at 1-800-442-8696, or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Vehicle Safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
