ConsumerAffairs.com
07/21/2005 - Kia Motors Corp. is recalling 118,447 Sedona minivans in the United States because the throttle cable can stick and cause the vehicle to maintain speed or accelerate inadvertently.
Federal regulators at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said the problem occurs in winter driving conditions when water on the throttle cable can freeze and cause causing the cable to jam. The recall is expected to begin in September. Dealers will modify a protective sleeve around the throttle cable, according to NHTSA . |
