03/17/2005 - General Motors is recalling nearly 113,000 passenger vans and Pontiac G6 cars because of potential safety problems.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said one of the recalls affected 77,055 Chevrolet Astro and GMC Safari vans from the 2001-2002 model years because of a potential problem with their hazard warning flasher switches.
NHTSA announced that GM is also recalling 35,777 of its all-new G6 cars because their owner's manual fails to state that child restraint lower anchors are located in both the side and center rear seating positions.
"The owner's manual states that anchors are at the outboard seating positions only," NHTSA said.
Separately, the agency said the U.S. arm of Volkswagen AG was recalling 9.965 Audi A4 and Audi S4 cars to fix a possible problem with their Xenon headlight reflectors. |
