images-1_copyHonda is recalling certain model year 2009-2010 Honda Fits that have the potential to stall due to a faulty spring assembly on the engine's variable valve timing and lift electronic control system. This potential stalling greatly increases the risk of crashes, injuries, and deaths.

The recall, which is expected to begin on or before March 7, 2011, possibly affects 97,201 vehicles. To remedy these stalling issues, Honda dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the spring assemblies in the engine free of charge.
