Home Car Recalls & Warnings Car Recalls & Warnings Power Steering Fluid Leaks Lead to Recall of over 6,000 Jaguars

images-1_copy_copy_copyJaguar is recalling 6,085 model year 2011 XF and XK vehicles manufactured from June 27, 2009 through March 10, 2010. The Power Assisited Steering (PAS) Pipes may corrode over time, leaking and causing a loss of power assisted steering. A vehicle fire could also result if the fluid comes into contact with an ignition source or a high temperature surface.

Since the zinc-nickel plating that lines these PAS pipes does not fully meet Jaguar's Corrosion Protection requirements, Jaquar will replace the PAS pipes free of charge. For more information regarding this recall, which is expected to begin on or before April 11, 2011, contact Jaguar's customer service at 1-800-452-4827.
