2010RoutanVolkswagen recently recalled 12, 612 model year 2010 Routan vehicles, which were manufactured between October 2009 and June 2010. Some of these vehicles experienced a displacement of the key in the ignition, which caused the engine to quit while in gear.

If you own one of these recalled vehicles, Volkswagen recommends that you bring your vehicle into the nearest dealership where the company will replace the win module free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin on or before April 11, 2011. For more information regarding the recall, owners can contact Volkswagen at 1-800-822-8987 or the NHTSA's Vehicle Safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
