chrysler-town-and-countryLast Tuesday Chrysler announced a recall of 248,437 vehicles. According to NHTSA reports, problems arose for Chrysler when numerous owners reported an inadvertent "key displacement from the run to accessory position" that would cause the engine to shut offf, sometimes when the owner was driving.

This recall, expected to begin in April 2011, affected certain model year 2010 Dodge Journey, Grand Caravan, and Chrysler Town and Country vehicles that were manufactured from August 3, 2009 through June 17, 2010.

Chrysler dealers will replace the faulty win modules that are causing this key displacement free of charge.
